National AutoBody Research (NABR) To Present Two Variable Rate System (VRS) July Workshops in Austin, San Antonio

NABR will demonstrate the VRS online toolset and show how the system helps unite Texas shops to restore the free market to labor rate pricing in Texas.

Austin, San Antonio, Texas - JUNE 30, 2015 - NABR announces its Variable Rate System (VRS) Workshop, “It’s Now or Never! Calculate and Collect Market-Based Labor Rates Using the Variable Rate System,” to be held July 15 in Austin and July 16 in San Antonio. The workshops are sponsored by Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes.

Both workshops run from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. The workshops will be held, respectively:
·       Wednesday, July 15, 2015 Hampton Inn Austin-North @ I-35 & Hwy 183, 7619 Interstate 35 Frontage Road, Austin, Texas 78752
·       Thursday, July 16, 2015  Crowne Plaza San Antonio Airport, 1111 Northeast Loop 410, San Antonio, Texas 78209

There is no charge to attend for qualified collision repair professionals and refreshments will be served. Reservations are required and space is limited, so please register your attendance.

NABR CEO Richard Valenzuela and President, Sam Valenzuela will present the VRS technology as the much-needed solution to the collision repair industry's stagnant labor rate problem.  Through the VRS 5-Step Solution, attendees will learn how to utilize the VRS online tools to properly set labor rates for their individual shop, based on the competitive environment; their shop's cost of doing business; the shop's profit goals; and the shop's level of training, certifications, and investment in equipment and technology.  In short, shops will learn how the VRS helps them get paid what they're worth and earn the profits they need.

"We are overjoyed with the opportunity to bring the VRS Workshop to Texas,” said Richard Valenzuela, CEO of NABR.  “The urgency for shops to properly price their labor could not be greater than it is right now.  The great news is that they can use the VRS today to make an immediate impact to their own rates and the overall prices in their markets.”

"We’re very excited about the Variable Rate System because it is nothing like the traditional surveys we have seen in the past,” said Burl Richards, President of ABAT(Auto Body Association of Texas) and Owner, Burl’s Collision Center, Henderson, Texas.  “The VRS gathers the important information that separates one shop from another – their level of training, level of investment in equipment, the type of vehicle being worked on, and more – and then reports back with a range of rates using apples to apples comparison.  I would strongly recommend that collision shops look further into the Variable Rate System, sign up, and give it an opportunity to make a difference.”

In addition to the Texas VRS workshops, NABR plans to hold more workshops at various locations throughout the country during 2015.
