National AutoBody Research (NABR) Launches VRS Labor Rate Survey in Illinois, Sponsored by Gold Coast Auto Body

Tucson, Arizona – February 15, 2016 – Today, NABR announces the launch of the Illinois VRS Labor Rate Survey, sponsored by Dominic Martino of Gold Coast Auto Body in Chicago.

The online survey is free for all New Mexico collision repair shops and can be found on the NABR website.

The Illinois VRS Labor Rate Survey provides the state’s collision repairers with an independent, third party, trusted survey of statewide labor rate data.  The VRS reports the true, market-based labor rate ranges throughout the state, based on shops’ actual prices, not on an artificially defined single prevailing rate for all shops.

“Unlike other proprietary and obscure surveys, the VRS is an unbiased, true reflection of the collision repair market,” said Dominic Martino, co-owner of Gold Coast Auto Body.  “This enables independently-owned, highly-trained, and well-equipped collision repair facilities to be recognized on their own merit and ability and not simply rolled into a so-called “prevailing rate” with all other shops.”  Mr. Martino concluded, “Collision repairers need to be recognized for their individual, unique representation in the market including their OEM certifications, level of skill, training commitment, and tooling expenditures, for example.  I encourage repairers to take back control of their business and sign up with the Variable Rate System today.”

“All collision repairers are not alike,” said Richard Valenzuela, CEO of NABR.  “Shops that make huge investments in training, certifications, and state of the art equipment deserve to get paid accordingly with sufficiently profitable labor rates.  The VRS reveals that market prices for these high-line collision repair facilities are higher than other facilities that don’t make these investments.  In addition, other repairers who aspire to become better trained, certified, and equipped are now more enabled to do so, because the VRS can help them earn the rates and ROI they need to grow and prosper.”

To the see innovative Variable Rate System for themselves, any collision repair owner or general manager may request a free, no-obligation demo of the VRS, to see firsthand how the system can help them charge and collect sufficiently profitable labor rates and get paid for more not-included procedures.

With the addition of Illinois, the VRS Labor Rate Survey is now in 7 of the top 10 most populous states.  Other states currently running the VRS Survey include Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, and Utah.

About National AutoBody Research (NABR)
NABR is an independent research, technology, and consulting company committed to restoring the free market for labor rate pricing in the automobile collision repair industry, and leveling the playing field for shops to get paid for non-included procedures.

Through its innovative Variable Rate System (VRS) technology, NABR provides collision repair shops the tools they need to understand the competitive labor rates in their market, understand their cost of doing business, and calculate appropriate labor rates for their individual shop to earn a sufficient and necessary profit.

With rates from shops nationwide, NABR built the industry's first and only independent, third party, and objective source of national labor rate data, making the VRS the collision repair industry standard for market based labor rates.

The system now includes NABR’s newest product, the VRS Procedures Document Search, the industry’s first and only online searchable document library, showing records of insurers paying shops for not-included procedures, and enabling more shops to be paid for the work they already do.
